April 15, 2026
LOCK HAVEN – The City of Lock Haven has been approved by the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) for a roughly $1.24 million loan and a nearly $2.9 million grant to make improvements to its wastewater system, announced Rep. Stephanie Borowicz (R-Clinton/Union) and Sen. Cris Dush (R-25).
“This important funding will allow Lock Haven to make significant improvements that will increase the efficiency of its wastewater system, enhance how it handles solid debris and improve the effectiveness of its disinfection process,” said Borowicz.
“Clean, affordable and reliable drinking water is among the most fundamental needs of any community,” Dush said. “Securing this highly competitive PENNVEST funding will help maintain an economically responsible price for customers within the City of Lock Haven and surrounding communities.”
PENNVEST is a financing authority that provides low-cost financial assistance to address water, wastewater, stormwater and nonpoint source pollution problems that impact public health, safety, the environment, regulatory compliance and economic development.
