– Rep. Stephanie Borowicz (R-Clinton/Union) today introduced a House resolution memorializing June 24, 2022, the day the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, effectively ruling that there is no federal constitutional right to an abortion.
“After 50 years, and 63 million babies’ lives tragically lost, a new birth of freedom began again for the unborn,” Borowicz said. “I am calling on churches, businesses and communities to celebrate on June 24 the one-year anniversary of the historic overturning of Roe v. Wade.
“The right to life is one of the founding principles of our great nation, and we have a responsibility to protect the lives of all individuals, especially those who cannot defend themselves. Since the reversal of Roe v. Wade, laws protecting the unborn have swept the country, and countless babies’ lives have been saved.”
Borowicz’s resolution designates June 2023 as "Life Month” in Pennsylvania in support of the sanctity of life and celebrating the historic overturning of Roe v. Wade.
