LOCK HAVEN – In an abundance of caution, Rep. Stephanie Borowicz (R-Centre/Clinton) announced today that her office is postponing the following upcoming events:
· Farmers Breakfast on Tuesday, March 31.
· REAL ID Informational Event on Thursday, April 23.
“My staff and I have been planning and looking forward to these events for quite some time,” said Borowicz. “However, with the current circumstances, we want to protect the health and well-being of all District 76 citizens and believe it is best to postpone these events. We are hoping to reschedule both events as soon as possible.”
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is recommending that no gatherings with more than 10 people take place to minimize the potential spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
Effective immediately, Borowicz also announced that her Lock Haven (18 E. Main Street, Suite 2) and Milesburg (103 Water Street) district offices will remain open during regular office hours (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 pm) but will not be providing walk-in service to residents until further notice.
Borowicz and her staff will still be available to assist residents with any state government-related matter over the telephone at 570-748-5480 (Lock Haven) or 814-353-8780 (Milesburg), by email at sborowicz@pahousegop.com and online at www.RepStephanie.com. There is a mail slot at each office where paperwork can be dropped off.
“My top priority as your citizen lawmaker is to take whatever actions I can to help protect the health, safety and best interests of ‘We the People,’” said Borowicz. “Especially during these uncertain times, we must never lose sight that faith, freedom and the free market are once again the unmovable foundation for conquering this or any other nationwide crisis.”
The 76th Legislative District includes all of Clinton County and the Centre County communities of Benner, Boggs, Burnside, Curtin, Haines, Howard, Liberty, Marion, Miles, Snow Shoe and Union townships and the boroughs of Howard, Milesburg, Snow Shoe and Unionville.
