Borowicz Working to Secure Funding to Address Snow Shoe Water Problems
HARRISBURG – State Rep. Stephanie Borowicz (R-Centre/Clinton) announced today that she is working with House Republican Leadership to secure funding to assist Mountaintop Regional Water Authority to fully restore safe and reliable drinking water.
“The water crisis facing residents in and around Snow Shoe has gone on long enough,” said Borowicz. “Funding for a long-term solution is overdue. This morning in Harrisburg I met with House Majority Leader Bryan Cutler, House Appropriations Committee Chairman Stan Saylor and House Majority Whip Kerry Benninghoff to continue our discussions on securing the funding needed to solve this crisis once and for all.”
The Mountaintop Regional Water Authority serves about 1,300 homes and businesses in Burnside Township, Snow Shoe Township and Snow Shoe Borough.
The 76th Legislative District includes all of Clinton County and the Centre County communities of Benner, Boggs, Burnside, Curtin, Haines, Howard, Liberty, Marion, Miles, Snow Shoe and Union townships and the boroughs of Howard, Milesburg, Snow Shoe and Unionville.
