Dush, Borowicz Deliver Infrastructure Grants to Clinton County
12/19/2023
HARRISBURG – Sen. Cris Dush (R-25) and Rep. Stephanie Borowicz (R-Clinton/Union) today lauded Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) grants that will improve the quality of life in Clinton County’s communities.

The municipalities receiving these funds have submitted the required grant applications for these projects. It sometimes takes multiple applications and refinements to get the awards, but these municipal leaders have diligently pursued them.

“I strongly support the grants announced today. Sen. Dush and I are very pleased the Commonwealth Financing Authority agreed with the need for these important projects from bolstering our community and infrastructure that our residents deserve,” Borowicz said.
“I am glad to see these critical water and sewer projects funded. Our infrastructure in the rural northern part of the state is behind the times, but I am always pleased to work with Rep. Borowicz to fight to get money into the district so our people can enjoy functional water supplies and sewer infrastructure,” said Dush.

The following Clinton County CFA grants were awarded approved today:

• The Porter Township Municipal Authority - $325,205 grant to replace a 72-year-old cast iron water main replacement. This project will replace 1,800 linear feet of water line.
• The Bald Eagle Township Authority - $608,073 to replace the sewer lines along Draketown Road in Bald Eagle Township.
• The Millbrook Playhouse, Inc. - $20,658 to assist with the performing arts organization’s operating expenses.

Funding for the projects is being provided through the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) Local Share Account (LSA) program, which uses gaming revenue to support projects in the public interest across the Commonwealth.
